Penang, 8 October 2015 – Philatelists have a new set of stamps to add to their collection, the Eastern & Oriental Hotel (E&O Hotel) commemorative stamps to mark the heritage icon’s 130th anniversary.

Limited to only 200 sheets, the special edition stamps are now available for sale at RM30 per sheet of 30 cents denomination at the Bombay Shop located on the ground floor of E&O Hotel’s heritage wing.

The stamps that were jointly-created with Pos Malaysia feature the E&O Hotel 130th anniversary logo, paired with an image of a serene garden landscape fringed by local plants.  
E&O Berhad group hospitality and lifestyle director Michael Saxon, who launched the stamps at a press conference, said the hotel was founded in 1885 and remains one of the most enduring icons from Penang’s colonial era.

”These stamps are one of the commemorative souvenirs we have specially designed to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Penangites’ cherished E&O Hotel. These limited edition stamps will be a great addition to any collector’s album,” he said.
