Penang, 28 August 2015 – Feast your senses with the delightful buffet spread for breakfast, lunch or dinner at Eastern & Oriental (E&O) Hotel and you stand to dine for free the entire year.

The E&O Hotel, the grand dame of heritage hotels in Southeast Asia and an iconic landmark in Penang, celebrates its 130th anniversary this year. In conjunction with this milestone it is launching a special lucky draw contest for diners at Sarkies Annexe restaurant.

 From Sept 1 to Nov 27, diners who spend a minimum of RM500 nett in a single receipt will be entitled to an entry in the 130th Anniversary lucky draw contest.

One lucky winner will walk away with the grand prize of one year free buffet meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for one person  at the Sarkies Annexe restaurant.

E&O Berhad group hospitality and lifestyle director Michael Saxon said the lucky draw was one of the commemorative events lined up to mark the hotel’s 130th Anniversary celebrations.

“Our buffets are very popular, not only with our in-house guests but also with the local Penangites who come by just for this special treat. The lucky draw and its prize is a gesture of appreciation to our guests for their loyal support throughout the years,” said Saxon.

The winner will be announced on the hotel Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/eohotels and during its annual Christmas Tree Lighting event on Dec 1.

 The E&O Hotel’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony is an annual signature event. Saxon said, “A time capsule containing a message note from me and some E&O merchandise items will be placed at the hotel heritage wing lobby and can only be opened after another 130 years.”

 “This New Year’s Eve, we will also be throwing a grand party with fireworks taking place at 1.30am on New Year’s Day,” he said, adding that they would also be launching their commemorative stamps on that day.
